Description
The BEATLES - A Collection of 12 EP's, Volume 2 (Capitol Mexico, 1972)
Volume 2 of the 3 7" box sets which Capitol Mexico issued in the early 1970s. The records have the customary 7" hole and play at 45 rpm, excepting #12 (standard 12" hole, plays at 33 rpm). 4 songs per 7". Individual fold-over paper sleeves. Each record was supplied with a plastic sleeve by the previous owner, though these are not an integral part of the set. Housed in a cardboard slipcase, printed in Germany, with the track listings on the back. This set is deficient as it has 2 copies of record #8, but lacks record #9 ("Kansas City"; "Please, Please Me"; "It Won't Be Long"; "I Want to Hold Your Hand"). Unclear if the loss and duplication was a production error or the work of the previous owner. Catalogue numbers, in order: EPEM 1004; EPEM 10012; EPEM 10027; EPEM 10069; EPEM 10074; EPEM 10044; EPEM 10142; EPEM 10187 (x 2); EPEM 10189; EPEM 10504; EPEM 10459.
CONDITION: the records are Ex - very clean and glossy with no evident marks, though they could use a brushing; the labels are very clean; the sleeves are VG+ - very clean, though just slightly darkened at some edges, light evidence of handling and internal offsetting; the box is salvageable but is darkened by cigarette smoke, worn at the closed edge and, internally, soiled by insect detritus. The smoke-soiling has touched the edges of the plastic sleeves, but this seems to have largely protected the true sleeves from damage. Please view the images provided for the track listing and details of condition.
