*ABBEY ROAD* INDIAN 1st pressing - 1970/71
Matrix: Side 1: YEX 749-2-1 Stamper code: 3/2/-57 Matrix: Side 2: YEX 750-1-1A Stamper code: 2-7
This outstanding disc uses the same 2/1 EMI lacquers used on the very first UK issues on the Green Apple label. Originally released in the UK in September 1969 this Indian pressing became available in early 1970.
Here is a rare opportunity to own an original analogue copy of this iconic album, delivering a wonderful listening experience but with different labels. That's all.
Audio:
MINT-
All tracks play with undiminished, crystal clarity. The 20 second silence between 'The End' and 'Her Majesty' is stone cold silent. The track run-ins are silent. Near impossible to find a better sounding original copy.
Visually:
EX
Lovely, deep gloss surfaces. Light handling marks which are completely harmless and merely brush the surface. Among the best I've ever seen.
Labels:
NEAR MINT
In top condition. Just a couple of very hard to see spindle trails on the centre ringed area. Viewed normally, both labels appear Mint!. Spelling errors are: Somthing and Octopus's Sarden. There is no 'THE END' between Carry That Weight and Her Majesty.
Cover:
EX Fully laminated like the UK copies. A sound example with just generally light signs of handling. The spine is blank and carries no information.
Inner sleeve:

A disc shaped, clear polythene protector.
All records are thoroughly cleaned and I will of course, continue with the surreal requirement of separating the disc from the cover, even though they have been together now for over 50 years and have left a lasting impression :-)
