*HEY JUDE* Export pressing - 1968
================================================================
NO OFFERS PLEASE - AUCTION ONLY
================================================================ Here is an opportunity to own a fabulous copy of this Beatles single release with a rare 1G stamper code
E.M.I. did not prepare any demonstration copies for this release and I have never come across an Apple label 'Hey Jude' with a 1G stamper. These export singles were selected from stock and generally display random stamper codes but this one is the only one that I have ever seen with an earliest possible 1G code ================================================================
THE DISC
Matrix: Side 1: 7XCE 21185-1 Stamper code: 3-TG Matrix: Side 2: 7XCE 21186-1 Stamper code: 1-G
AUDIO - NEAR MINT
Silent run-ins and crystal clear undiminished audio. Hey Jude is almost impossible to find without some audible intrusion, even if that is a random dust pop. This track, like the B side, plays perfectly. There is a shush sound in the run-off, immediately before the playing arm lifts off the disc but this occurs around 5 seconds after the song fades out completely and is well away from the actual song. The groove and deadwax are in mint condition, so I believe that this has been there from manufacture.
VISUALLY - NEAR MINT
At first glance both sides look perfect, even against reflected daylight. For a disc that was released over 50 years ago, its condition is truly remarkable. I would happily described both sides as mint but there are just a couple of barely visible wispy lines but this is being ultra fussy as they are very hard to spot. The surfaces are as brilliant as they appear in all of the photos. The labels are pristine with just a few light spindle trails.

THE COVER - VG+
The picture sleeve is in very good condition for a flimsy paper item. Apart from general age related creasing, there are a couple of very short seam splits where the edge of the disc has begun to penetrate.

The photos are of the actual item for sale. All records are thoroughly cleaned and listened to, from beginning to end. Professional mailers are always used.
I will be listing more Beatles records, so please have a look
