- 3-disc package was the first time the Beatles Decca audition tapes were "officially" released in the US to retail stores in May 1982. It was the launch of this new label at the time, Backstage Records.
- Discs 1 and 2 both contain 10 of the Decca tracks. (the same tracks on both discs).
- Discs 1 and 3 are picture discs, disc 2 is white vinyl.
- Disc 3 is also a picture disc, containing an interview with Pete Best, done by radio personality Jim Ladd ("Inner-View") on side 5, and excerpts from various Beatles press conferences from 1964-65 on side 6.
- Issued in a gatefold, die-cut sleeve. Discs 1 & 2 were in pocket 1, disc 3 in the second pocket. Inside are several Pete Best-era photos.
- May include glossy Silver Beatles merchandise order form.
