Description
The BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME LP MONO PMC 1202 with Garrod & Lofthouse LARGE MONO cover and MKT tax coding on side 1 label.
VG+ AUDIO. XEX 421-1N (1 GRG) XEX 422- 1N (4 GGL)
Loud and clear 1963 mono, great sound. The heavyweight vinyl was pressed to last. There are a few surface scratches and marks to be seen, but nothing to lessen the listening experience. A few clicks and crackles in quieter places and gaps between tracks only. No skips or sticks.
The LABELS are generally very clear and clean. Evidence of spindle markings, but not excessive. MKT tax coding embossed around the spindle on side 1.
The EMITEX poly lined inner is an excellent example. Still intact, no rips or tears.
The COVER is a Garrod & Lofthouse patents pending one with LARGE MONO on the front. The vast majority of the 3rd/4th/5th pressing PPM’s exist in EJ Day covers. G & L tend to have many more smaller mono covers than large monos so this is a rarer example. The cover is in VERY GOOD condition. It has slight wear and tear of about 3mm as the record enters the cover. Also slight wear tear at the top of the cover. The back is generally clean apart from a small discoloration stain in the bottom left hand corner.
Overall a nice collectible copy.
