Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes, it is...shiny black labels with rainbow rim (not the later matt labels)...and without any mention of the co-publisher of the Side One songs (Comet Music) on the inside front cover and on the labels - they're attributed to Maclen Music solely, on the cover, and apart from BMI, no publishing mention on the labels - Comet Music credits were added on subsequent pressings...
Includes the 24 page book attached to the inside cover, in perfectly mint condition apart from one strip of clear tape on one inner edge...see below...
Hand-enscribed matrix numbers are :
SIDE ONE: SMAL-1-2835-A21 #2
SIDE TWO: SMAL-2-2835-B24
(the '#2' is stamped)

CONDITION:
COVER: ( EX )...beautiful, beautiful condition!...has a very tiny piece of clear tape in the top left corner of the back cover...and on the inside cover has a strip of clear tape (with no staining at all) down the left-hand edge of the booklet...looks like it wasn't unsealed very long ago, in fact...
RECORD: ( EX )...apart from one mark on Side two...and a couple of very light wispy hair-line marks...there are no blemishes on the vinyl...it's SO shiny...none of the marks mentioned have any bearing on the sound - I played all of Side two and did not hear a single crackle...may well play perfectly mint all the way through (since Side One looks mint)...
LABELS: (Side One: MINT / Side Two: MINT )...has NO spindle marks on either label...looks like it's barely been played...

PACKING:
Don’t worry - I'll pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way I'd like to receive parcels myself. VINYL: All LPs come packaged carefully in solid corrugated card packaging designed specifically for LPs, plus the LPs are housed in clear plastic sleeves. The record itself is ALWAYS removed from cover ( except for SEALED LPs) for shipping to prevent seam splitting, and placed alongside the LP cover (inside its own inner sleeve, OR in an extra sleeve to keep in secure) within the clear plastic sleeve, which is then sealed. Likewise 7" singles/EPs are packaged the same way too - well protected. POSTERS: All posters are rolled within outer protective paper that extends well beyond the actual length of the poster to avoid any crushing of the ends, and then packed in a very sturdy solid-card mailing tube - packed carefully to allow no room for any movement of the item inside.
WE MAIL OUT AT LEAST THREE TIMES A WEEK.
