1966 *Stereo* Pressing PCS 3042 YEX 94-1 / 95-1 2AT / 1AM
Due to a misunderstanding this item was previously listed and is now re-listed
I can also confirm that it is not a first pressing but was definitely manufactured in 1966 and is a genuine original disc and cover from that year
This unique cover has a professionally laminated back panel which has preserved its perfect condition from new - the laminate has been perfectly applied with 100% adhesion and is so good it is difficult to decide whether it goes under the flips or butts against them - there is a tiny blemish under the laminate which is part of the original paper surface (photo 9 next to track 5 'Boys') - the disc inside is as close to mint as you are likely to ever find
The disc looks unplayed - it plays perfectly - stone cold silent run ins - no pops, clicks or static interference
The Garrod and Lofthouse cover is in outstanding condition - a rarer small 'stereo' version from 1966 - some small perimeter stress wrinkles but lovely square corners - perfect pinched ends spine - super-smooth front and rear panels with no half moons or pressure indents - the information I have is that this is one of two Beatles LP's laminated by a G&L employee that year but please be aware that I have no way of proving this - the important thing here though, is that it has helped to preserve this 53 year old cardboard item in near mint condition
Original correct polythene lined 'patents applied for' inner sleeve is in remarkable condition - no tears just very mild creasing
Note: This is an incredible example and easily good enough for a final upgrade
