Description

Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all

Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

This is an original copy of the FIRST EVER BEATLES LP RELEASED ANYWHERE IN THE AMERICAS, North or South...Canada was the ONLY other country there to release a Beatles LP in 1963 ("BEATLEMANIA" in December '63), while the first US LP (on VeeJay) came out 10th Jan. '64....by which stage Peru actually had TWO Beatles LPs out...way ahead of the game! A couple of other South American countries had their first Beatles releases in Jan. '64 (Brazil was one), but Peru trumped them all.

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?:    As stated above, yes, it is!...very much so...on the early black and silver labels (in mid-1966 Odeon in Peru changed to a blue and black label design)...

CONDITION:

COVER: ( EX- )...thin paper foldover sleeve with cardboard liner...has some foxing (light brown 'age-ing' spots) on the back and some very mild (barely visible) ones on the front...otherwise beautiful!!...

RECORD: ( VG )...has quite a few very light marks...and plays very well !! ... even between tracks there are only minor crackles...

LABELS: (Side One: M- / Side Two: M- )...see pix...
