The BEATLES

Please Please Me / Ask Me Why

1963 UK Parlophone 45-R 4983 Red Label

This is a really great original 1963 first pressing of Please Please Me in EMI striped sleeve.

Red labelled copies of Please Please Me were issued with or without "Made In Gt. Britain" printed above the catalogue number (centre-right). However, on this scarce variation the B-side  label includes the statement, but the A-side does not!

MT Tax Code is embossed on centre B-side label and run-outs have MPT.

A-side stamper: 3 GP

B-side stamper: 1 A

Condition:

Both labels are in excellent condition. Sharp lettering, minimal wear, some spindle trails. Initials are written on B-side. See photos.

Playing surfaces are still bright, retaining nice glossy appearance although with a few marks. Audio has some crackle, more noticeable on B-side, but no stalls or jumps, otherwise sounds great.

Disc graded VERY GOOD+ condition

Winner please await invoice before paying.

UK Postage will be £6.00 Secure Delivery Next Day. If you are bidding from overseas please ask for postage costs, which will include tracking & insurance. Will combine postage on multiple purchases.

From my own carefully stored collection of 40 years+. Grading is to UK Record Collector guide (and please see my feedback). I have tried to be as accurate as possible with release dates and relevant detail and hope I have supplied all the information you need but please ask if you need further information.
