The BEATLES REVOLVER MONO PMC 7009
The iconic 1966 LP voted by most critics and fans as the best Beatles LP ever! This UK mono copy from 1966 is a second pressing; XEX 605-2 (3 GOG) XEX 606-2 (2 TR)
With ERNEST J DAY outer cover and plain white ‘PATENTS APPLIED FOR’ and ‘MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN’ inner sleeve.
The LP is excellent visually, minor surface scuffs and scratches, nothing deep or potentially audio damaging. It plays as Ex-, pretty good with some clicks and ticks here and there, nothing to distract the listening pleasure. I played this very loud and that great mono mix from 1966 with its ‘louder’ bass (for that time) still sounds great especially on ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’. The labels are very clean and have relatively few spindle trails. ‘KT’ is embossed on side 1 label. The EJ DAY cover is still relatively white! and in excellent condition for 50+ years old. It has a couple of flaws, neither earth shattering. The top right hand flipback is slightly raised and could be stuck more closely to the cover (with care) and there is a name written on the back, fortunately on the dark part of the cover so its not immediately noticeable unless you are looking for it, hopefully the pictures show its extent. Still a nice cover compared to many I have seen. The inner sleeve is very white and uncreased but does have a couple of rips down the edges where the record lays.
