Description

Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.

Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes, it is...on the first gold, cream, and red labels...laminated front cover, matte back cover...

This LP was made for sale specifically at USA and UK military bases in Germany, with some being exported for sale in Switzerland. VERY RARE! Has the same track listing as the USA Capitol LP of the same title...unique front cover though (basically uses the USA "SOMETHING NEW" design with "SECOND ALBUM" wording added).

CONDITION:

COVER: ( VG- )...has clear tape on the bottom seam, and on the rear opening edge...there's some writing on the back cover, being notations on certain tracks...also a name written small, lower down...back also has water staining, plus tears at the spine, and creasing...has a couple of tears on the front opening edge...

RECORD: ( G+ )...has many marks and some scratches...BUT...despite a lot of crackling (music is still louder), and some occasional 'pops'...it plays through (with jumps in "ROLL OVER, BEETHOVEN" and "YOU REALLY GOT A HOLD ON ME"...plus it sticks in one place near the end of "PLEASE MR. POSTMAN")...

PACKING:
Don’t worry - I'll pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way I'd like to receive parcels myself. VINYL: All LPs come packaged carefully in solid corrugated card packaging designed specifically for LPs, plus the LPs are housed in clear plastic sleeves. The record itself is ALWAYS removed from cover ( except for SEALED LPs) for shipping to prevent seam splitting, and placed alongside the LP cover (inside its own inner sleeve, OR in an extra sleeve to keep in secure) within the clear plastic sleeve, which is then sealed. Likewise 7" singles/EPs are packaged the same way too - well protected. POSTERS: All posters are rolled within outer protective paper that extends well beyond the actual length of the poster to avoid any crushing of the ends, and then packed in a very sturdy solid-card mailing tube - packed carefully to allow no room for any movement of the item inside.
