Lack of space has forced me to sell my vinyl collection from way back when...

This auction is of a first press, “The BEATLES” white, double LP, mono album, UK numbered version.

These early numbered versions are becoming increasingly scarce and sought after.

It is the original, top loading, gatefold glazed white outer/black inners, heavy vinyl, double disc set.

Complete with original inserts:- 4 off, (8 x 11¼)" card prints of the 4 Beatles and the poster/lyrics list.

Enjoy two, great playing discs and an ace piece of history!

Apple Records – PMC 7067 & PMC 7068 – N° 0104379. Overall grade is VG+.

AUDIO

Grade Exc to VG+. All tracks play through excellently, with the exception of Side #3, Track #5, “Sexy Sadie”. This has 4 minor skips towards the end and I would grade it as G. Other than that, they are discs of pure mono vinyl sound.

DISC VISUAL

Grade Exc to VG+. Both discs are very clean, warp free and retain their deep glossy, heavy vinyl, black sheen. There are few wispy hairlines. There is a surface scratch on Side #2, which does not affect play and a scuff mark on Side #3, Track #5, “Sexy Sadie” as detailed in AUDIO – please see photos.

The labels on both discs are very clean, bright and without any markings or writing.

PACKAGING – EXTRAS

Grade Exc, VG+ to G. The laminated glossy white, “Garrod and Lofthouse” gatefold cover, is intact but slightly discoloured.

The black inners are worn. I will supply the buyer with new, black sleeves as well as the existing ones.

The 4 card prints of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr (Richard Starkey), are excellent.

The poster/lyrics list, is stained in the folded, top right hand, corner.

GRADING

The grading system I have used is based on UK record mags as follows:–

MINT

Un-played item. The vinyl is in brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in audio quality. The cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT (Exc)

The vinyl is shiny, with few signs of having been played but with no appreciable lessening of audio quality. The packaging and extras may have negligible wear.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)

The vinyl is still be shiny but may have a few light marks, with very little lessening of audio quality. Light wear and tear on the packaging or extra items.

VERY GOOD (VG)

The vinyl has been played many times, is still shiny and displays no major deterioration in audio quality. There are noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the packaging or extra items.

GOOD (G)

The vinyl has been played to such an extent that audio quality has deteriorated noticeably, there are mild scratches. The packaging or extra items, suffer from folding and scuffing of edges, with spine splits.

FAIR (F)

The vinyl is no longer shiny and has been played so much that the audio quality has deteriorated very noticeably. The packaging or extra items, suffer from severe folding and scuffing of edges, with spine splits.
