Description

Available for purchase is the ORIGINAL VINYL LP ALBUM, "The Band", the self-titled first release by the legendary group that had previously worked as Bob Dylan's "backup band".  This is a FIRST US PRESSING (from the plant in Winchester, VA) released on Capitol Records (STAO-132) in 1969.  The GATEFOLD ALBUM COVER appears to be NM, and the disk appears to be EX+.  The green label and the etchings on the matrix runouts (1-132-F9 S1 on side 1, 2-132-F8 S2 on side 2) identify this as a first pressing.  This will make a great gift, or a great addition to your collection, while helping a very worthy cause (see next paragraph).  Your satisfaction is guaranteed on every sale.

All proceeds from this sale will be donated to a scholarship fund established in memory of my son, Chris, at the University of Mary Washington, where he was in attendance at the time of his death in 2008.
