This is a rare record - not in awesome condition, but that it EXISTS is pretty awesome in and of itself. How rare? Well, ebay has no listed sales. Neither does discogs, although six people own it and 47 people want it.
It's a souvenir album. "This album recreates the music from the presentation made by American-Standard at its 1969 Distributor Principals' Conferences, January 6 and 10, 1969."
Yes, American-Standard. The bathroom fixtures company. They commissioned a musical all about bathrooms, hired a cast, and performed it at their conferences. Then gave away souvenir copies of the record. No UPC, and I gather that this was never meant to be sold. Corporate music.
You're buying this for the novelty and rarity -- how many people can really claim to have this record, or ever to have SEEN it? This is too offbeat for the typical record collector. This is meant for all you weirdos (as am I; I'm just a weirdo ready to cull some stuff).
Condition: You can see that the vinyl has its scratches and fingerprints on it. I haven't played this thing at all in years. I think I listened to part of a track, was horrified by what my stereo was reproducing, and stopped it. Never made it all the way through a single song. So, the record was not particularly valued by its previous owners. The cover shows wear on all edges.
