Condition Description & Other Information ## This is the White Label Test Pressing for the UK Release of "Holland" by the Beach Boys, which was scheduled to be released, according to the handwritten notes on the Sleeve by Reprise Records, on January 5th 1973. These Test Pressings are 'Totally Beyond Rare' & have only come up on a handful of occasions over these last 50 years. I've spent a reasonable amount of time researching any historical auction records that I could find... I have included in the photo section of this listing, details regarding an eBay auction that ended on 17th December 2006, which also shows the winning bid of AUD $320.00. I have also included the details of a far more recent eBay auction, which ended on 31st October 2021, showing the winning bid of AUD $698.00 (This more recent result was for the Dutch Test Pressing.) The Vinyl is described as Excellent & during today's full play test it played just like a Near Mint Vinyl plays, below average background & no skips or stops. Several spindle marks to both labels. There are a reasonable number of extremely fine hairlines & barely visible sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained nearly all of its rich waxy lustre.
The Cover is a white card generic sleeve with some very basic notes to front cover using red biro and is described as VG+. The Cover is dirty from having been passed from one department to the next and therefore going through many hands and work environments. There is some visible edge/spine & corner-wear. There are some fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is some minor ring wear to front & verso. There are some colour losses to edges & spine. The Spine has been tastefully taped. There are some areas of foxing to front & verso. A few minor stains here & there. The Inner Protective Sleeve with identification markings is probably the original one used & is in VG+ condition. Please see attached photos...
