Description
Here is a beautiful, original, sealed 1966 MONO copy of The Beatles' "Yesterday And Today" LP on Capitol Records T 2553.
The LP was in my collection since the 1970's when I bought an assortment of Mono LP's when the local record store wanted to move out the Mono's and make more room for additional stereo LP's. It has never been opened.
This the "Trunk Cover" and not the "Butcher Cover." I have looked it over carefully and there doesn't appear to be a "Butcher Cover" under the "Trunk Cover."
The LP is still sealed in its original shrink wrap from back then. The shrink wrap is nice and tight all around the cover, with no rips, no tears, no writing, no labels or stickers. It is exactly the way it would have come from the pressing plant in June, 1966!
What amazes me the most about this LP is the graphics. There is a lot of "white" in this cover. There's white in the background of the Beatles trunk cover. There's a white border and the back cover is white, except for the printing and the LP graphics.
But it isn't just any white. It's a brilliant white!! There's been no fading of the whiteness in the past 59 years since the LP was released!! (I guess I can take credit for that since I had this LP in a sealed outer cover and stored vertically in a cool, dry place since I bought it.)
Overall, the LP appears "as new!"
If you collect Beatles LP's, including the original Mono versions, this example is basically perfect and you will never need an upgrade!
