Offered is a nice find from 1973: a factory sealed THE BEATLES 1967-1970 double album of their greatest hits mfg by Apple Records in 1973. Rare Canadian issue SKBO-3404!!
This Rare & Desirable USA First Pressing Edition is becoming difficult to find in this STILL SEALED condition! The back cover still has the original Apple Records Hype Sticker intact! In the upper right front corner there is a small piece of the shrinkwrap missing.
Originally released in 1973, the 'Blue 1967-1970' collection was released in conjunction with the 'Red 1962-1966' compilation, which focused on the band's earlier years. These double albums of The Beatles greatest hits was the result of a bootleg 4 LP set of Beatles songs released in the USA in 1972 called “THE BEATLES ALPHA-OMEGA”. Apple Records issued a law suit in 1973 to stop the manufacture and distribution of the Alpha Omega bootleg LPs and soon thereafter Apple Records released the Red and Blue double albums to the world. Both these releases were hugely successful worldwide and remain two of the best selling compilation albums of all time!
