Description
The Beatles Live at Shea Stadium (1964 concert).
These two ep's are originals which I bought in 1970 from Richard Branson's FIRST incarnation as a bootleg record seller by mail order via NME! (They are listed as produced by "Freedom Records" which I have always assumed was at that time Branson's private label which then became Virgin)
These two records are over 50 years old but have been kept locked away in pristine condition (I always taped my records then on first play, and only ever listened to tapes (nowadays it is mp3) thus keeping vinyl pristine.)
I have not seen these anywhere else as ep's.
12 tracks in all as shown in pics.
These are very rare as Branson soon started selling them on a single LP size record.
They are excellent recordings, and give more of a flavour of the concert than the new over-produced and sanitised CDs.
I have just found a review of this issue on the net with a little more information (indicating it was mixed by George Martin himself!) which might be of interest: https://www.beatleg.online/live-at-shea (copy and paste)
