The Beatles: 'THE BEATLES THE SINGLES COLLECTION 1962-1970 OFFICIAL 1976 PARLOPHONE/APPLE, BOX SET. BS24.
Released by Parlophone/Apple in 1976, this official UK Beatles Collection of 24 of The Beatles Singles on the Black and Silver Parlophone, and Green Apple Labels.
Not to be confused with the Black World Records Box of Beatles Singles, this set was released before the World Records Box Set and was available to purchase in most good record shops at the time, and NOT available by Mail Order.
The titles are as follows,
The 7" Vinyl Singles each come in their original Green Card Picture Sleeves, each picture sleeve has the same design on the front, and features four different through the years colour image of The Beatles on the reverse of the sleeves. The singles come in a unique Green card picture box which splits into two parts. The box shows all the titles of the singles, and has an image of The Beatles on the reverse. There is a circular sticker attached to the front of the box which advertises the extra singles, Yesterday/I Should Have Known Better’ & ‘Back In The USSR/Twist And Shout’
The singles have two designs of record labels, from Love Me Do through to Lady Madonna, are Black and Silver Parlophone, the remainder are on the Green and Half Apple, Apple Record Labels.
The box is in overall Excellent Minus to Excellent condition, there are NO tears or splits, just light edge wear and light rub marks.
All 24 of the 7" Vinyl Singles are in Mint condition, and the Picture Sleeves are vary from Excellent to Near Mint condition, some of the sleeves show light wear to the edges.
A great box set of Beatles singles, and much rarer than the World Records Mail Order Box set that was released in the same year.
