Description
This here is a second-state "butcher cover" version of The Beatles album Yesterday... And Today!
Second-state, if you are unaware, refers to recalled "Butcher" covers that had new covers pasted over them and re-released.
A tell-tale sign of this release is a visible Ringo's vest to the right of the steamer trunk. As you will see from the photos that black triangle from his vest is visible. [Most visibly in the oddly colored scan of the cover I've posted here. I placed the cover on a flatbed scanner and tried to manipulate it the best I could in photoshop to bring out the image underneath. As you can see a faint trace of Ringo's face becomes slightly clearer here.
Run-out groove info: A: T-1-2553-F-21 / B: T-2-2553-F-23
The one detriment to this cover (aside from the general wear) is a rip in the bottom right corner of the jacket with a bit of peel-back to the layers of cover paper. [I've included a pic of this as well.] Otherwise the cover-paper layers are intact if you wanna go crazy and try to peel this thing.
The jacket is in VG- condition, the record itself is G+. Well-loved with a good deal of scuffing and needle wear, but still plays crisply and distinctly over the surface noise. But really, as good as the music is, the cover is the main attraction here
