Description

Here is a very interesting collection of seven original vinyl albums by The Beatles including an odd copy of the well known Yesterday and Today.
The condition of these albums is very mixed from very good, to very worn with lots of surface marks that will certainly be heard on playing. Please Please Me is very worn and heavily marked and there will be skips and jumps. I have no way of listening to these records so do not know which play OK and which do not.
This lot consists of;
A Hard Day's Night, An early mono pressing with yellow and black Parlophone lable. Matrix numbers XEX 481-3N/482-3N, sleeve very good condition with only light wear. The original owner has written their name on the front at the top right hand side. This is small and not very intrusive but it is there (please see picture). The vinyl is very good with light surface marks only.
Please Please Me, first mono pressing with yellow and black Parlophone lable. Matrix numbers XEX 421-1N/422-1N. The sleeve is in very worn condition with splits halfway along the top and bottom edge and the owners name written on the back (please see pictures). Vinyl and label are very worn with heavy marks on both sides and the owners name written on one side of the label. This will be difficult to play and there will be lots of noise on playback and almost certainly skips and jumps.
Rubber Soul, early mono pressing with yellow and black Parlophone lable. Matrix numbers XEX 579-4/580-1. Sleeve has some wear but not too heavy. Vinyl and label have generally light surface wear. Side one does have one mark that goes across all 7 tracks.
With The Beatles, early mono pressing with yellow and black Parlophone lable. Matrix numbers XEX 447-7N/448-7N. Sleeve has some wear but not too heavy with a small loss of the laminate on the front at the bottom (please see pictures). Vinyl and label have generally light surface wear. Side one does have one more noticable mark across the first 3 tracks.
Revolver, stereo pressing with later Parlophone lable. Matrix numbers YEX 605-2/606-2. Sleeve has light wear only. Vinyl and label have light surface wear only, looks nice!!!
Yellow Submarine, stereo pressing on the Apple lable. Matrix numbers YEX 715-4/716-1. Sleeve is nice with light wear only. Vinyl and label have light surface wear only. There is a mark at the start of side 2, this is before the grooves start proper.
Yesterday and Today, this is an odd one. It has the well known trunk cover and was printed by Capitol Records and is New Improved Full Dimensional Stereo. However, the vinyl album is a stereo pressing on the Apple lable. This has matrix numbers ST-1-2553-H23/ST-2-2553-H24. The cover is generally good with light surface wear, There is more obvious wear on the edges and a 2 inch split along the bottom where the record goes into the outer sleeve. The generic inner sleeve is quite tatty and could do with being replaced, The vinyl and lable look very nice with only light surface wear.
So there we have it, a very interesting collection of seven Beatles vinyl albums. I have tried to describe the condition, particularly of the vinyl, the best I can but I have no way of playing these so cannot tell what they sound like.
I have started the bidding at 99p so they can find there own market value.
Postage is increased due to this being over 1 kg..
