The Beatles: A Hard Days Night 1st Mono Press. Nr Mint Audio. 3N/3N Emitex Inner.
PLAY TESTED. SUPERB NEAR MINT AUDIO.
ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKING.
Barely a click, pop or crackle to be heard, even on the intros either side, between tracks, or during the quieter passages. Absolutely no skips, jumps or sticking. I’d describe the audio as near mint throughout, and never less than excellent.
PMC 1230 Mono, first press, from 1964. G&L front laminated cover, with mid-sized mono to front, with tracing-paper lined Emitex die-cut inner sleeve.
Commonly known as first press variation A, with chubby label text, it has a black label with yellow logo and silver print. ‘Parlophone’ perimeter print, ‘recording first published’ etc.
Playback: Excellent/Nr Mint.
Vinyl appearance. Minimum Excellent.
Barely a mark/hairline to either side, and it genuinely looks very lightly played, and superbly cared for. Beautifully pressed.
Label appearance. Very Good Plus/Excellent.
Side 1: Bright, clean and graffiti free, with minor spindle ware really only visible when held under angled light.
Side 2: As above.
Sleeve. VG+
G&L front laminated flipback is minimum VG+. Very minor/small creases to front, slight yellowing to top right (right of ‘mono’) (please zoom in on photos). No laminate lifting. Barely any feathering, though does have some sort of ‘staining’ to rear (to right of ‘Night’). Entirely graffiti free.
The spine is again minimum VG+, possibly excellent. Beautifully legible and strong. Very minor scuffing to bottom corner.
Original Emitex Inner. VG.
Tracing paper lined due cut inner, though with some creasing, is generally VG, with the smallest seam split to bottom, and a larger one down the right side, though easily repairable. Completely graffiti free, with no tares.

Matrix Side 1: YEX 481-3N 2 (at 6 ‘O’ Clock)
Stamper: GGP (at 3 ‘O’ Clock)
Mother: 5 or 6 (at 9 ‘O’ Clock)
Matrix Side 2: YEX 482-3N (at 6 ‘O’ Clock)
Stamper: GRD (at 3 ‘O’ Clock)
Mother: 6 (at 9 ‘O’ Clock).
I’d describe the overall item as excellent, just because the audio is utterly superb, and the appearance of the vinyl is equally as good, and I’m normally quite conservative in my listings/gradings, but am confident that you’ll agree with me once you hear it. You’ll not be disappointed.
