THE BEATLES Classic 1969 LP Abbey Road : Apple PCS 7088 - 1ST UK PRESSING

This classic Beatles' album has been played a fair bit and comes with some surface marks; these don't affect the sound quality which still sounds clear and vibrant. Professionally cleaned, the vinyl sounds great on my Pro-Ject Debut turntable with Ortofon cartridge. The way the Beatles were meant to be heard and a world away from those tinny CDs and downloads.

Catalogue no Apple PCS 7088. Matrix numbers on run-out groove are YEX 749 - 2 & YEX 750 - 1. I understand this is the first UK pressing of this classic album.

The original first pressing of the Beatles' "Abbey Road" can be recognized by the following attributes (source : popsike.com) :

Label: The standard dark green Apple label
The label does NOT have "Sold in the U.K..." statement.
The label has "Mfd. in U.K.".
The label has "Produced by George Martin"
The label does NOT include reference to the track "Her Majesty."
Matrix/Stamper codes: YEX 749-2, YEX 750-1

The sleeve is showing a little minor wear, as indicated above. There is a plain white inner sleeve which is probably not the original as it looks a little new.
