This is a copy of Abbey Road with the rarest label error.
The song "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" by The Beatles on their 1969 LP, first pressed in the UK on the dark green Apple Record label PCS 7088, features a notable error. On the side 2 label, the credits for the song are marked without a hyphen or space, as "LennonMcCartney," instead of "Lennon-McCartney." This error is considered rare, being undocumented in references like "Beatles For Sale On Parlophone Records" by Bruce Spizer and Frank Daniels, this variant is highly sought after by collectors.
The LP comes housed in a fully laminated cover printed by 'Garrod & Lofthouse', with the Apple symbol aligned beneath the rear track-listing. The condition of the sleeve is deemed Very Good, although it exhibits some creasing and slight marks on the spine.
This particular pressing has never been seen for sale on Discogs and very, very rarely is offered for sale on eBay. I have been collecting Beatles records for over ten years, and this is only the second copy I have seen in person.
The vinyl itself is described as fair due to the presence of a mark on the B side, which does not cause skips but does produce substantial surface noise throughout.
There are a couple of skips on side 1 during "I Want You." Surface noise can be heard throughout all songs on both sides. Despite these flaws, the skips on “I Want You” correct themselves and do not require manual intervention.
The surface noise and skips could potentially be improved with a deep clean by a machine or careful scrubbing.
