Description

For your consideration; The Beatles Abby Road - in VG condition minus one skip - Original pressing on Dark Apple Label YAX 749-2  and YAX 750- Circa 1969 - in VG condition

This Beatles Abbey Road original 1969 pressing. This Lp is in very nice condition, minus the last 20 seconds of side one, “I want you (She’s So Heavy”) which skips. There is some groove wear noise on the quieter passages as is common on a 53 year old VG rated Lp, but nothing intrusive to the overall sound.

So.. there is much debate over Lp quality regarding skips. Some say any skip automatically down grades the LP to Fair/Poor. Others feel the Lp should be judged on the quality of the entire LP.

So this one fall into the latter. With the exception of the end of side one, this classic Beatles LP plays strong with a nice presentation. I you can live without I want you and have a first pressing Beatles LP this is for you.

Abbey Road was released on October 1st, 1969.

This is a no reserve auction. Please notice the shipping cost. As I ship insured media mail. Thank you.

FIRST pressing:  The first batch of covers do not list Her Majesty on the back cover track listing.  The front cover has more of the crosswalk at the bottom edge of the cover, and includes a portion of a square road sewer positioned on the bottom edge of the cover, beneath Ringo and John's feet.

A great addition to your classic Beatles collection or an amazing gift for the special record collector in your life. This is a no reserve auction.
