“HEY JUDE” LP by the Beatles

This LP is Apple Records SW-385 cover with SO-385 disc.

This LP was issued February 26, 1970.

THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING OF THE “HEY JUDE” LP. We know this because:

The labels identify the LP as “THE BEATLES AGAIN” with the catalog number SO-385 (not SW-385).

The cover has the correct LP title “HEY JUDE” with the correct catalog number SW-385.

Later issues changed the LP title on the labels from “The Beatles Again” to “Hey Jude” and the catalog number from “SO-385” to “SW-385” to match the cover.

The cover is of cardboard construction (NOT poster-board) with front and rear slicks pasted on. (Poster-board covers were used after 1976.)

This LP consolidated 10 Beatles singles that were originally released in the 7-inch single (45 RPM) format, but were never included on an LP until this one.

The COVER is in NEAR MINT CONDITION. The cover has what I call that “new LP feel”. It feels like an LP cover that has just been taken out of the shrink-wrap. There is NO WEAR on the cover. There are 2 very tiny staple holes near the top left corner where the original price tag was once stapled. They are barely visible. (You’ve probably seen how the primarily-black rear cover slick of this LP title was prone to easily show even the slightest wear, especially ring wear. But NOT this one!)

The VINYL is in NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) CONDITION with a few very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs that are NOT at all “feelable” and will NOT affect the sound.
It’s a REALLY NICE 1st PRESSING of this BEATLES LP to add to your vinyl collection!!!

These grades are Poor (P), Fair (F), Good Minus (G-), Good (G), Good+ (G+), Very Good Minus (VG-), Very Good (VG), Very Good Plus (VG+), Near Mint Minus (NM-), Near Mint (NM), Mint Minus (M-), and Mint (M or MT) to VISUALLY GRADE this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
