All You Need is Love/Baby You're a Rich Man Capitol Promo 45 1967
Absolutely legitimate issue from 1967. This promo is one of the few pressings in which you can clearly hear Lennon exclaim, "I luv it!" just before the end of the long fadeout. There are other pressings in which the comment is barely audible, and even more where the comment is either mixed out, or faded out. This one is the boldest example.
The vinyl is a very beautiful VG+. VG+ means that most of the gloss still exists, and that no more than just a scant few light scratches are visible. You will definitely hear static in the lead-in and lead-out grooves, but never in the music. This is a very beautiful piece of vinyl. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photos, somebody used either White Out or nail polish to obliterate out the "Promotion Record" and "Not For Sale" disclaimers. Additionally, the A-side label was further damaged by what looks like an attempt at removal by some liquid agent or other. Had it not been for the label damage, this would be a collector's grade 45.
The Los Angeles machine-stamped asterisk is clearly visible on each side.
Excessive exclamation points, desperate overselling and the word, "Rare" available upon request, no charge.
