This listing is for the set of Beatles Anthology LP's.
I bought a lot of these when Anthology came out about 15 years ago, and gradually sold off all but 2 copies of each, keeping the "best of the best" copies for myself. These are the 2 copies that I've set aside.
Each album contains 3 records. I believe there are a total of 166 tracks on all nine LPs.
There are no seam splits, rounded corners or any imperfections anywhere on the three jackets. Each jacket is tightly sealed. These albums have always been stored vertically to prevent warpage. All albums have been kept in 3 mil outer sleeves. These LPs have largely been undisturbed since I purchased them.
The Beatles Anthology 1 was released in late 1995, and includes rarites and alternative tracks from their days as "the Quarry Men", through the Decca auditions and the album Beatles For Sale. Also included in this album, was the track "Free As a Bird" which was billed at the first new Beatles song in 25 years.
The Beatles Anthology 2 is an album released in March 1996, and includes rarites and alternatives tracks from the sessions for Help! through the sessions for Magical Mystery Tour and singles they were planning to release before their trip to India in 1968. Also included in this album, was a reworking of a John Lennon song, "Real Love" by the three remaining Beatles, much in the same manner that was undertaken for "Free As a Bird.
The Beatles Anthology 3 was released in October 1996, and includes rarities and alternatives tracks from the final two years of their career as a band ranging from the initial sessions for The Beatles (more commonly known as The White Album) through to the last sessions for Let It Be and Abbey Road in January 1970.
The LPs shown in the first picture are one of the two sets for sale.
