Originally released in 1996, Anthology 2 picks up roughly where Anthology 1 leaves off and concentrates heavily on the Beatles’ 1965–1968 period—the period when they went from Help! and Rubber Soul into Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Magical Mystery Tour and beyond.

* Unreleased songs

The original album contains 45 tracks, spread over three LPs.


Some of the real highlights


“Real Love” opens the album. The 1996 version is the original Anthology-era mix, made from John Lennon’s home demo and completed by Paul, George and Ringo.
