THE BEATLES & OTHERS
This ultra-rare, possibly unique 1-sided 12" HMV test pressing of the BBC transcription service radio show 'Top of the Pops' dates from 15th March 1965.
Top of the Pops was weekly a 1-hour radio music program hosted by Brian Matthew featuring selections from recording sessions at BBC studios for syndication/export outside the UK only by the top pop acts of the day. Many recordings on these discs remain officially unavailable today.
This disc features the first half of show #32, broadcast on July 7th 1965, and includes live, in-the-studio performances, all introduced by Brian Matthew:

Side 2: LPFB 2 (plays a continuous test signal)
The disc is housed in its original factory sleeve with the matrix number written on one side along with the date stamp '15 Mar 1965'.
Both sides of the disc have 'H.M.V. Long Playing Test Record' labels.

Both are clean & unblemished with just a single spindle trails around the centre hole and 'Side 1 No.5' written in pencil on the playing side label..
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Superb, deep-gloss playing surface bearing just a couple of small hairlines beneath halogen light.
Audio: EXCELLENT +
This disc has clearly been barely played and all tracks play cleanly and clearly with no traces of any groove/playwear. apart form a few light repeating ticks on the Yardbirds' interview, there is are no further audible issues. This disc must be the best source possible for all of the rare material contained on this disc.
