Description
Up for Auction is a Very Nice U.K. 1st edition of the BC-13 Beatles Box. A couple of things that make this particular set unique:
1) Being the first release of this box, the particular pressings are very quiet, alot of the BC-13 boxes pressings, especially the 2nd, un numbered issues have noisy pressings. The pressings in this box-I spot checked a few as I was getting Dead Wax information, are very nice and quiet. The pressings are also not as thin as later issues, these seem like normal weight pressings.
2) A good Majority of the pressings are very early pressings-most mastered by Henry Moss himself-A big difference if you've ever heard one of the later issued boxes and wonder what was so special about the sound quality. These sound pretty magnificent.
The covers are Laminated and because there are no protective sleeves, there is minor ring wear on a couple of the covers-but still look new. All albums that should have DO have inserts: The White Album/Sgt. Peppers etc.
The version of 'Rarities' is indeed the original boxed edition with a banner that states 'Not For Sale'. Slight seam split on top of the Rarities cover. All the albums have been re packaged with the innersleeve opening in parrallel to the cover sleeve opening to keep from seam damage during shipping.
