Description
An original 1964 Mono 1st Press copy of The Beatles - Beatles For Sale in superb condition. Released on the yellow & black Parlophone label complete with KT tax code, the matrix numbers are;
XEX 503-4N XEX 504-4N - see photos.
The mothers and stampers have also been photographed.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up spotless with a beautiful glossy sheen and no marks. Labels and spindle holes are very clean which show how little this has been played. Graded NM.
Playback revealed a fabulous clear and clean mono sound, warm and analogue, with a surprisingly low noise floor even between tracks, barely any noise. The record plays through beautifully with no jumping or sticking, no pops or clicks -an absolute pleasure.
The gatefold unipack (opens from inside) sleeve is in excellent condition, laminate intact & smooth with no peel or lift, a couple of tiny creases, one to the spine area. Tiny wear to the bottom edge just visible plus light age discolouration. No writing, stains, tape, splits or tears. The interior is clean and unmarked ( see photos).
The original Emitex sleeve is present & is still doing a great job!
A superb copy for a collector and a rare find in such condition.
The record will be sent in an archival clear outer sleeve separated out to prevent transit splits.
