Description
This lovely example is a 1964 UK 1st MONO pressing on the black & yellow Parlophone label.
Both labels contain the 'Sold in UK....' text & 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
A faint 'KT' purchase tax code is visible in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-4N & XEX 504-4N
Stamper codes: 3 6 / GMH & 2 / GAG
Housed in an outer laminated, inner-flipback mono gatefold cover & original rice-paper-lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.
RECORD - EX-/EX-
Play tested at volume. Fantastic clean sound throughout. Almost dead quiet even between tracks. Very impressive. A few light surface marks do not affect play. No skips or jumps.
LABELS - EX-/EX-
Both labels are clean and bright with some spindle marks showing. No writing.
SLEEVE - VG+
Outer laminated sleeve is fully intact and in great shape overall. Spine intact and all text visible. Some scratch damage to rear towards bottom (see photo). A little general storage wear. Four barely visible pen marks on inner gatefold next to track list. A nice example of this fragile sleeve.
Record Collector Grading System (+ or - may be added to the grade)
- MINT (M) - the record itself is in brand new condition.
- EXCELLENT (EX) - the record shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality . The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.
- VERY GOOD (VG) - the record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items is acceptable without any major defects.
