Description
I am continuing to sell more Beatles and Beatles-related vinyl, mostly duplicates, from my own extensive collection. So, please check my other auctions for vinyl you may want for your own collection.
In this auction:
· “BEATLES VI” by the Beatles
· This LP is Capitol Records ST - 2358.
· It is a STEREO LP.
· It was issued June 14, 1965.
· This is a FIRST STEREO PRESSING of this Beatles’ title. We know this because:
1) The labels do not have “subsidiary” in the rim printing.
2) The song “Words of Love” is credited to ASCAP (see image of label)
3) The rear cover has “(See label for correct playing order)” printed on it.
· The COVER is in NEAR MINT CONDITION and still in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP. Both front and rear slicks are NICE and CLEAN and WHITE. There is a 1-inch split in the shrink wrap on the bottom at the opening. There is very slight wear on the two corners at the opening with a very small corner push on the bottom right corner.
· The VINYL is in VG+ CONDITION. There are just a few light hairlines/scuffs none of which are “feelable”.
· The LP in this auction came from Capitol Records’ Scranton pressing plant. This is based on the number “2” printed on the rear cover at lower right.
· Furthermore, the trail-off area of the vinyl has a triangle pressed into it which is the symbol of the Scranton Pressing Plant.
· Therefore, this cover and this vinyl match to make the Scranton Pressing Plant its origin. This is the correct vinyl for this cover (or the correct cover for this vinyl)!
· NOTE: Some sellers may intentionally or accidentally switch vinyl and covers in order to create an LP with near mint cover and vinyl to sell. I don’t do that. I always verify covers and vinyl to be correct pressings/issues.
· This LP comes with its ORIGINAL and CORRECT olive- green Capitol Records inner paper sleeve that has a 3-inch split on the bottom edge.
· It’s a GREAT Beatles LP with cover and vinyl in GREAT SHAPE to add to your vinyl collection!
