Parlogram is delighted to have been commissioned to sell one of the largest collection of Beatles vinyl to come onto the market for many years

This once-in-a-lifetime collection comprises over 2,000 LPs, 1,000 45s/EPs & many box sets from virtually every country/territory where Beatles records were released

All records will be sold exclusively on Ebay in auction format only (no 'Buy It Now' offers please) and WITHOUT RESERVE

Due to the number of discs listed each week, gradings are visual only. However we are happy to provide audio grades on request

This week we have some scarce coloured vinyl LPs & box sets



THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES BOX'

This 8 x LP compilation of Beatles recordings was initially issued in 1980 by World Records, a mail-order subsidiary of EMI

The songs are arranged chronologically over the eight discs and each is housed within individually designed cover with a biography of the period by Hugh Marshall on the rear

The set was of immediate interest to collectors as it included some rare variants/mixes of songs, most of which are listed below:

  • 'All My Loving' - begins with five tap 'count-in' by Ringo's on his "hi-hat" cymbal
  • 'All You Need Is Love' - mono version
  • 'And I Love Her' - with six bars of acoustic guitar in the final section, instead of the usual four
  • 'Baby You're A Rich Man' - true stereo version, previously found just on the German 'Magical Mystery Tour' LP
  • 'I'm Only Sleeping' - rare version previously found just on the U.S. stereo eight-track tape edition of "Yesterday" And Today'
  • 'I Am The Walrus' - a composite version put together by Capitol Records engineers for the U.S. commercial 'Rarities' LP
  • 'I Feel Fine' - true stereo version with the 'whispering' intro, previously only available on the UK issue of '1962-1966'
  • 'Love Me Do' - original UK single version with Ringo on drums
  • 'Penny Lane' - a composite version from the U.S. commercial 'Rarities' LP
  • 'She's A Woman' - true stereo version previously available just in Australia and in Singapore/Malaysia/Hong Kong
  • 'Strawberry Fields Forever' - true stereo version
  • 'Thank You Girl' - original UK 45 mono version without John's extra harmonica fills


    • This JAPANESE pressed set dates from January 1981 and each disc has a white Odeon label: EAS-77011-8

    The discs are housed within a hinged box designed to resemble a wooden crate, complete with original 'OBI' strip

    Information and lyric booklets are also present


    CONDITION

    Discs: MINT

    Apart from disc 1 (which is EXCELLENT due to a few light surface marks), all discs appear UNPLAYED with no spindle trails or any other visual blemishes or wear to the playing surfaces

    Covers: MINT

    All are 'as new'

    Box: EXCELLENT

    Fully intact with minor shelfwear and slight damage to the 'OBI'

    Booklets: MINT
