These are the originals - analog all the way! A wonderful way to listen to the Beatles’ albums, the way “nature intended”! If, like me, you were disappointed with the 2012 digitally remastered vinyl set (or stayed away from it altogether due to the negative reviews), THIS is what you’re looking for!
I’ll get the down side out of the way first; there isn’t one!
I’ve been collecting Beatles records since 1964, and I’ve had roughly a dozen of these box sets over the years - this is the best I’ve ever had! I bought this one from a private collector who stated it was unplayed, and I am inclined to believe him. I have carefully inspected all of the records and I could not find a single spindle mark on any of the labels, nor any surface marks (let alone scratches) that would indicate that they have been in and out of their sleeves very much, if at all. Some of the inner sleeves have very small splits at the bottom, which is common on these sets. The jackets have no splits whatsoever; “Please Please Me”, “With The Beatles”, “Beatles For Sale”, “Help!” and “Let It Be” have MINOR (less than 1”) wear at the very top of the jackets (again, very common ). I have stored the vinyl/inner sleeves outside the jackets, and this is how they will be shipped. The “Rarities” jacket is in far better shape than most I’ve seen. Hopefully the pictures will properly tell the story. The box is near perfect with a small white mark at the top of the back, and rubbing on the corners and bottom. No ink/pencil marks or writing, hinge is intact with no splitting or separation. In this case, the photos almost exaggerate the blemishes as I tried to focus on them.
I have a considerable chunk of change into this particular set; I couldn’t pass it up at the time. Now, without a job, things must go. Check my feedback; though a relatively “new” seller (I’ve actually been on eBay since 2004; due to a long period of inactivity I lost all my previous feedback - which was 100% positive) I have, and will continue to have, a desire to provide quality merchandise with satisfaction guaranteed.
