Description
This is the original 3 pronged Phillips pressing of the 7" single "Hey Jude" by The Beatles on the Apple label catalogue number R 5722. These original Apple copies are hard to come by in decent condition and this copy is a beautiful Excellent condition.
The labels have "Apple Records" rim and Sold In UK text".
The vinyl retains a nice shine on both sides. Side one displays light handling marks. Side two shows a few light needle lines none of which affect play. Revolution was played as much as Hey Jude by some, more by others, what a cracking track, Lennon at his best.
Both labels are bright and clear with no writing or other damage.
The record is housed in the original shiny black Apple sleeve that has survived remarkably well. These are usually badly damaged through creasing etc but not this one. It does have some rippling to the top edge, shows some ring wear and scuffing to the edges but is otherwise in outstanding shape.
I am starting this item at £15 on the basis I am not prepared to sell for less. If you doubt the quality of my items, please see my feedback for a number of Beatles records sold during the last few months.
This is a very nice item that has survived remarkably well for 48 years. How time flies.
