Description

An original 2nd mono issue of BFS on the UK Parlophone label from 1964. Matrix 4N/4N. Please note the labels are still consistent with a copy from 1964 and still mention 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text on the labels. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In very nice condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection I could make out a couple of light marks per side, there's also a couple of longer superficial trails - nothing heavy or likely to feature in the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Good clean audio for the most part. Expect nothing more than a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. An enjoyable and solid rendition which does a great job with these Beatles classic tracks.
Cover (Vg/Vg+) In very nice shape and looking better than many examples of this particularly fussy cover. A good few creases on the front over toward Paul's face. The rear looks good with just a couple of creases. The interior looks nice - no issues. There's edge wear, but not as much as many examples exhibit. The spine is above average with text legible. It has folded over as many copies will have done by this point in time [i.e. not at right angles]. Overall the cover retains very good rigidity. A respectable example.
