Description

The Beatles - From Liverpool - The Beatles Box (Vinyl). 1980. Parlophone - Used



This is a rare and highly collectible vinyl box set titled "The Beatles Box - From Liverpool," released by EMI in 1980. This vintage collection contains 8 LP records, each housed in a unique sleeve featuring iconic images of The Beatles.

The set also includes an index with a comprehensive list of tracks spanning The Beatles' illustrious career. The vinyl records are near mint condition* (See disc 4 below*) as are the sleeves, whilst the outer box is excellent, with minimal signs of ware. Vinyls come in the original ‘Made In Great Britain’ Patent Numbered polly-lined inners.


VINYL: x 8. NEAR MINT


All vinyl in near mint condition, retaining a deep sheen, very few marks/hairlines, even under angled light. All look very lightly played.


LABELS: EXCELLENT (see below for more detail on label condition for each disc)


Vinyl 1: A little spindle ware to side 1. Side 2 superb.

Matrix: 10373-1 & 74-1


Vinyl 2: A little spindle ware to side 2. Side 1 superb.

Matrix: 10375-1 & 76-2


Vinyl 3: As vinyl 1.

Matrix : 10377-1 & 78-1


* Vinyl 4: As vinyl 1. (Please note this vinyl has visible marks/hairlines/though nothing feelable).

Matrix: 10379-2 & 80-2


Vinyl 5: Some light spindle ware to both sides.

Matrix: 10381-2 & 82-1

(Very small split to the inner).


Vinyl 6: No spindle ware to either side.

Matrix: 10383-1 & 84-1


Vinyl 7: As vinyl 6.

Matrix: 10385-2 & 86-1


Vinyl 8: As vinyl 6 & 7.

Matrix: 10387-1 & 88-1.


SLEEVES: MINT MINUS


Slight small rubbing to base of sleeve 2.

Some light marks to bottom of sleeve 8 front panel.

Thus, mint minus collectively for all 8 sleeves; if not for 2 & 8, they would be mint. They’re that good. Yes, really.


INNERS: MINT MINUS (Original Patent Inners)


Other than the tiny seam tare to the inner for record 5, they are mint. They are the original ‘MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN’ Patent Nos 1,125,555; 1,325,071; 1,072,844.


BOX: EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT PLUS


As you can see from the pictures, the box is in minimum excellent condition. Just light corner ware/a little scuffing. It opens beautifully, with next to no hinge ware or splits, and again, difficult to find in better condition.


In conclusion, you’re bidding on an item in all round excellent condition, which for the most part, has near mint vinyl, sleeves and inners, whilst the box is also excellent. Difficult to find the same set in all round better condition.
