GEORGE HARRISON: ‘WONDERWALL MUSIC’ – AN ORIGINAL AND BEAUTIFUL STEREO ISSUE OF THE 1969 UK ISSUE APPLE VINYL LP SAPCOR 1.
This was George Harrison’s first solo album release, and the first solo release by a Beatle, and also the very first Apple Records album release.
Wonderwall Music was released 21 day’s before the release of The Beatles White Album on the 1st November 1968, this issue dates from July 1969 on the Custom Apple Record Labels, WITHOUT, Sold in UK record label text, (CURRENTLY UNDOCUMENTED) all 1968 first issues of this album had the Sold in UK label reference, this label reference was scrapped in July 1969.
Both record labels are in immaculate Mint condition, both labels look as new.
The official stamped side 1&2 matrices have been crossed out and replaced with, SAPCOR 1A- 1, on side one, and SAPCOR 1B-3, on side two.
The scratched out matrices on both sides read, STAP 1A 1, and STAP 1B 1.
The side one Stampers are: 1GA and side 2 stampers 1L.
Both sides of the beautiful Vinyl Disc are in absolutely immaculate and unmarked Mint condition, high glossy vinyl surfaces to both sides that look as new.
The Vinyl LP comes in it’s Original white Inner record bag and is housed in its Original Glossy Laminated Picture sleeve, and also includes the Apple Records double sided card insert.
The Wonderwall Music Picture Sleeve is in beautiful Mint Minus condition, a stunning very firm glossy and undamaged sleeve that shows only mild handling to the opening edge, all edges and the reverse of the sleeve are undamaged, the spine edge wording is legible.
The double sided Apple Records insert is in immaculate Mint condition, there are no tears, or any other damage to the insert.
A beautiful example of George Harrison’s first official UK Apple release, original LP, in Stereo format, complete with it’s original Apple insert.
