This set is AMAZING.
An 11 LP collection of the 'Get Back' sessions in their entirety! It's the entire master tapes of the time the Beatles spent at Twickenham and elsewhere doing their first runthroughs of all of the 'Let It Be' songs, plus crazy things like...
...Harrison playing and teaching the Beatles 'All Things Must Pass' - and Paul's comments on it!
...the group covering 'I Shall Be Released' by Dylan/The Band...
...Lennon's 'Jealous Guy' - but called 'Child Of Nature' with completely different lyrics, played with all four Beatles...
...and, well, yeah. Tons more. Lots of Billy Preston, too!
Here's the part of the collection that's the real gem: The 11th LP is the lost, original Glyn Johns mix of 'Get Back', quoting from the back cover:
"A 15ips half track true stereo recording two generations removed from the original 1969 Apple Records safety master recording cut at half-speed on a Neumann 6600 series helium lathe."
The record sounds INCREDIBLE. Like a hologram coming through the speakers.
ALL RECORDS ARE NEAR MINT +++, and have only been gently played about 5 times by a true vinyl collector. No skips, pops, scratches or scuffs. The box shows some corner wear. The 11 LP's come with a mint condition poster (!!!) of rare photos, a hand typed listing of the tracks on each LP, and all vinyls are bagged in audiophile poly slips for their lifetime.
Furthermore, all records are a different color - some marble, some transparent, some solid, but none are just plain black - a lot of care was made in pressing...
