Description

For auction is a Girl/You're Going to Lose that Girl picture sleeve and colored vinyl single.
Capitol single (# 4506) was going to be released as a single from the Love Songs album, but was withdrawn at the last minute. Thousands of picture sleeves and a small quantity of promotional copies of the record were already made up, and quickly found their way onto the collectors market. The stock labels had already been printed.  Two West Coast record dealers bought the entire lot of printed sleeves.

Issued in October 1977, only a small quantity of promotional copies ever turned up. In 1978, a few months after the single was withdrawn, bootleggers cleverly manufactured copies of the single, which never had originally existed. They were pressed using several different colors of vinyl.  The original promo copies of the singles were pressed on black vinyl.

So, while the pictures sleeves were probably real, the colored vinyl singles were pirates.

I have owned my copy for more than thirty years.  It has always been wrapped and safely stored in a pet-free and smoke-free environment.
The photos are of the actual copy being sold.  The cream-colored vinyl single and the picture sleeve are in near-mint condition.
I reserve the right to not sell to suspect international buyers.  Shipping charges will vary for international buyers.
Returns are accepted provided the item is returned in the same condition as when it was sent.  The Buyer pays for return shipping.
Good luck!
