Description
This record is almost unbeatable in this condition!!
Matrix numbers: YEX 168-1 and YEX 169-1 (1st pressing) with Gramophone Co & Sold In The UK credits on the label. Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated flipback picture sleeve with outlined stereo logo & Patents Pending text on the bottom Flipback
Record condition: Wonderful - the record plays superbly, with virtually no background noise and no skips, pops, clicks. etc Very quiet between tracks. I would grade it as excellent/excellent+, it really is that good! I do not think the condition could be beaten, as good as it gets!
Label condition: clean and unmarked, slight spindle trails around the centre hole on side 2 but nothing serious.
Original, poly-lined Inner sleeve: very good condition (with a couple of creases)
Picture sleeve: there is very very slight dis-colouration, very slight ringwear, slight ageing, a very very slight crease but nothing serious. I would grade the sleeve as excellent, again I would say it is almost impossible to beat in this condition. Hard to believe it is nearly 50 years old - particularly as the sleeve is white and does not normally age very well. The spine is in nice condition and the text is fully readable. Minimal wear to the corners and no splits.
I only recently picked up this album and would love to know where it has been because the condition suggests it has been kept in a glass cabinet - or a safe!
