THE BEATLES: ‘HELP!’ – AN ORIGINAL 1965 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE MONO VINYL LP – PMC 1255
ORIGINAL, CLEAN, COMPLETE, AND A RESPECTABLE EXAMPLE
‘HELP!’ was released in the UK by Parlophone on the 6th August 1965, and was The Beatles fifth UK Album Release, and features songs from their second Movie.
The HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl LP is on the traditional BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, ‘Sold in UK…’ and ‘circled P date 1965’ label text.
Both sides of the record labels are in VERY NICE Excellent Plus condition, with no fading to the printed text, all that is visible are a few centre spindle lines to each label.
Both sides of the vinyl disc are in Excellentcondition, showing nothing more than a few light surface hairlines, but no scuffs or deep scratches. (Please note on the track Ticket To Ride, there is a groove direction mark which causes the stylus to stick).
The side 1 matrix XEX 549-2 and Side 2: XEX 550-2.
Side 1 stampers: 3 AMT and Side 2: 3 AML.
There is an embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code around the centre of the side 2 record label.
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL throughout with NO skips or clicks, just mild background crackle, and also what has been explained above.
The album comes in an ORIGINAL Lined Use ‘Emitex’ Printed Inner Bag and is in RESPECTABLE Excellent condition. There are NO seam splits and NO handwriting, just some light age toning.
And is housed in its ORIGINAL LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse, three flip back sleeve printed outlined ‘mono’ to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve.
The Sleeve is in Excellent condition. The GLOSSY Laminated Front panel shows hardly any record indentation. The reverse panel is CLEAN and BRIGHT, with the exception of a little age discolouration and handling signs to the opening edge. The spine edge is FINE and the printed wording ‘HELP! – THE BEATLES’ clearly readable. The original price of 32/6 is hand written in ink at the top right corner just above the catalogue number.
Overall A CLEAN, RESPECTABLE, COMPLETE and ORIGINAL example of this COLLECTIBLE Early BEATLES UK Mono album.
