Description
The Beatles, Hello Goodbye / I Am the Walrus PROMO 45 (USA, Capitol, 1967)
Capitol P 2056, authentic Los Angeles pressing on light yellow-green label with RM23 having the trimmed intro and an extra bar including Lennon's vocal miscue (same as heard in stock 45 copies but removed for the stereo mix), rush-released to radio stations in late November 1967. Timing of 4:35 shown for "Walrus" [Spizer no. CAP 2056.DJ1]. Disc: VG-: vinyl has many superficial hairlines, a few more significant marks. Labels worn near rim, generous wol (each side stamped with large "W," also numbered "900" in pen and overwritten with marker). The markings of "#8" and "#64" may indicate the peak positions on the unknown radio station that owned the copy; both sides peaked higher on weekly Billboard, Cashbox, and Record World charts.
Runout markings: 45-46160-F-7. ✻ / 45-46161-G-6. 1 ✻ [All is etched except for the machine-stamped star on each side; see photos.] Plain white sleeve.
POLICIES:
Photos are always of actual item offered. All items are visually graded under a bright light by strict Goldmine standards. M- is my highest grade, and is applied to New Old Stock, as I had direct access to the contents of manufacturers' cartons from the mid-1970s onward. I have been a vinyl collector since 1964 and appreciate honest, conservative, and fair product descriptions. Smoke-free home.
I am happy to combine orders for domestic shipping.
Vinyl 45s are shipped separately from any picture sleeves or printed stock sleeves, and encased in protective polypropylene sleeves and extra recycled board.
All orders will be shipped within two to four business days of payment; please allow one to three weeks for domestic arrival.
In the unlikely event that an item needs to be returned, buyer must contact seller first; buyer pays return postage and any applicable sales, VAT, or GST taxes.
Seller reserves the right to cancel any orders with outstanding balances after seven calendar days if buyer is not in communication with seller.
It is the buyer's responsibility to provide an accurate address.
Please leave feedback, and I'll happily do the same for you. Contact me with questions or concerns and I'll do what I can to make you a satisfied customer.
I am an author of several books on rock music (look me up!—Walter Everett) and have retired after a 33-year teaching career at the University of Michigan. I'm just beginning to sell my collection of 8,900 records and CDs.
