Description
This is a very scarce and extremely collectible example of The Beatles "Help!" LP on Capitol Records. Mono MAS-2386. Issued in 1965. The record is housed in the date appropriate original Capitol inner sleeve.
The particulars are listed below:
1. This is the hard to find L.A. transition example with the title Track 1 "Help" printed above the spindle hole. (*) in the dead wax.
2. Track 6 on Side 1 lists the Ken Thorne credit for "In The Tyrol."
3. Side 2 features the Ken Thorne credits for Track 4,
"The Bitter End" and Track 6, "The Chase."
4. "You Can't Do That" is NOT listed on the Side 2 label and there is no space for it's entry.
Now here is what makes this offering stand out:
The record is housed in the exceptionally rare Capitol Mono cover.
This cover is unlike all the Mono covers for this title in that it has a separate slick pasted to the front! All other "Help!" covers are the wrap-around variety. Also, The catalog letters/numbers/title, MAS-2386 and "Help! . The Beatles" are positioned at the TOP of the spine and not the bottom as found on every other Mono cover!!
It is thought this cover configuration was used to recondition Stereo covers into Mono covers. In any event they are almost impossible to find and a must for any Beatles completest collector!
So, what we have is a very rare, limited transition label variation with the record housed in an even scarcer reconditioned Mono cover!

This record has been fully play graded: VG+ / VG++, Sound . VG Surface, with superficial scuffs and scratches.
Labels: VG+ /VG++, with a name printed in the color band on Side 1 .
