Description

An original 1st press of Help! on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Please note the labels exhibit the abbreviated publishing credit "Lark Mus." for 'Act Naturally' and the track 'I Need You' is followed by a space and then an asterisk [all indicative of very 1st press]. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is an Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated spots. Even "Yesterday" - the TEST track - plays very nice and clean. The only vague deviation I can pick out is a couple of ticks as 'Act Naturally' closes out. An impressive rendition from what is a very well preserved copy.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful condition and finding a really crisp white looking copy is not an easy find! That iconic front image is nigh on perfect - WHITE and with barely even a crease! The rear seems to have totally avoided the usual ageing process - perhaps just a whiff of it on the flipbacks. The only one issue is a small stain just below the track 'Dizzy Miss Lizzy' - fairly innocuous. Edge wear is very light for this title - all I can make out is a tiny amount at the middle of the bottom edge [1c.m.] - minor! Even the corners are all square and the openings are sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity. Wowzers!!
