Description
A 1st pressing of Help! on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1A/1R - which places this copy amongst the first 1,000 copies to leave the pressing plant. Please note the label holds the abbreviated publishing credit 'Lark Mus' - not 'Lark Music' and there's a space before the asterisk on the track 'I Need You' - this is indicative of the very 1st pressing. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In nice condition despite having seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are many light marks - nothing troublesome though, or likely to cause major issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with good clarity. Interference is minor and only noticeable here and there. Please expect a bit of low-level static in places, but nothing invasive. Still a very decent player with no major issues.
Cover (Vg+) In very nice condition and has been looked after down the years. That iconic cover remains nice and white and the rear has escaped the worst ageing that often afflicts these covers. Edge wear is reasonably light and the text on the spine is still 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Please note there's a signature on the rear top-middle.
