Description

The Beatles Pop/Rock masterpiece, 'Help!' (PCS 3071) ....as released in the UK in late Summer 1965.  Fans were expecting something as great as 'A Hard Day's Night' and they got it. The album hit the charts at number 1 and stayed there for almost 10 weeks.
Early first UK Stereo pressing......if you were a fan of The Beatles in August/September of 1965 and went into a record shop looking to buy this album, this is more than likely the pressing you would have found and purchased.  It is remarkable that after over 60 years both cover and record are still in almost like-new condition.
I urge you to look at all the pictures carefully using the zoom feature.

Cover: Ex+ ~ NM-.....after 6 decades some of the white areas on the cover take on a more ivory-like tone....but for me this is not a defect but a sign that what you have in your hands is the real deal.  Due to the thin card stock used, many UK vintage covers for 'Help!' are found tattered, torn, soiled, and full of creases.  There are 3 inoffensive (laminate) creases alongside Ringo and some minor wear at mid-spine...but apart from this it is about as close to NM as you can get.
Original EMI Inner-Sleeve: Excellent.....the rice-paper lined sleeve is remarkably well preserved....with only 1 seam split to one side.  A higher quality inner-sleeve will be included to house the precious record.
Record: Near Mint-.....this is by far the cleanest example of this 1st UK Stereo pressing of this title I've ever come across. The thick and heavy record shines like new.  Both labels are almost flawless. On the Side 2 label there is the embossed "M T" tax code.   Under bright lights at various angles I have to strain to see 1 or 2 superficial hairlines over both sides.  I've played this album from beginning to end and I think I heard 3 or 4 light ticks in total in the non-banded areas ....that's it.  If you have a decent sound system and speakers...and your turntable is properly set up with a correctly aligned and weighted cartridge/stylus....you will be shaking your head in disbelief. Most likely a final upgrade.
