This early UK 1st MONO pressing dates from initial August 1965 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 1255
Both label include the 'Sold in UK...' text and have a 'KT' purchase tax code on the side 1 label.
Matrices: XEX 549-2 & XEX 550-2
Stamper codes: 2/GOT & 1/GOA
Vinyl weight: 153g
Housed in front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original rice-paper lined 'Use Emitex...' inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Disc: EXCELLENT
This well looked-after copy has received a moderate amount of careful play and is without any significant visual or audible faults. Both playing surfaces are clean with a few light surface marks which consist mostly harmless wispy paper hairlines. Both labels are clean with a moderate collection of light collection of spindle trails around each. All tracks play cleanly with no crackle or groove/playwear distortion or any clicks pops or other such distraction. In fact apart from a touch of low-level vinyl background on 'Yesterday' there is little to fault on this very respectable disc.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean & strong example of this striking cover which because it has come from a non-smoking environment retains an excellent 'whiteness' front & rear. The high-gloss front panel bears just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle and minor storage rubbing only. All corners and both opening edges are in excellent shape. The exposed rear panel has a faint blemish on the side 1 track-listing but is otherwise unmarked. All flipbacks, seams and the spine are unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & crisp with no writing, tears or seam splits.
